The largest aircraft ever built in Maryland, the Martin Mars demonstrates both the Donations will go directly to fund the Museum's bid for a Mars aircraft. Because we cannot know the outcome of our bid in advance, we are making the following arrangements for contributions: If we are successful in our bid, all funds will be used for the purchase, flight to Middle River, and long term support of the Mars. If unsuccessful in our bid, donated funds will be equally divided between the museum's top priorities: a) education center programs, b) the new Maryland aerospace museum, and c) Museum operations.
