Giant Clippers
Variants/Specifications

Losses from China Clippers and Model 146 prototype were offset substantially by the sale of a single giant flying-boat airliner to Soviet Russia in 1936. The Model 156 had a maximum take-off weight of 63,000 pounds and seating for 53. When completed late in 1937, it was the largest flying boat in the world.
